How Morningline works

  1. Overnight, we read the permits. Every new Washington building permit, the day the city publishes it.
  2. We pick the jobs that fit your trade and research who's behind each one: the builder, the owner, the company that just bought the house.
  3. By morning, it's in your inbox: a short call list with phone numbers, so you call first.

How we count

Building permits issued from September 29, 2026 through October 28, 2026, the most recent 30 days of Washington data we hold. Source: public building permit records for Washington. Each permit is counted once. Values are the valuations reported on the permits, leaving out obvious data-entry errors (permit values are not available in our records for this city yet); a project filed as several permits is valued once. Contractor counts are companies named on the permits.
