How Morningline works
- Overnight, we read the permits. Every new Pittsburgh building permit, the day the city publishes it.
- We pick the jobs that fit your trade and research who's behind each one: the builder, the owner, the company that just bought the house.
- By morning, it's in your inbox: a short call list with phone numbers, so you call first.
Construction research for Pittsburgh contractors and suppliers
This page is a weekly snapshot. Morningline reports are daily. Every weekday morning we pick the new projects in Pittsburgh that fit your trade, research the people behind them, and email you the list. One company per trade in each area.
How we count
Building permits issued from October 1, 2026 through October 30, 2026, the most recent 30 days of Pittsburgh data we hold. Source: public building permit records for Pittsburgh. Each permit is counted once. Values are the valuations reported on the permits, leaving out obvious data-entry errors; a project filed as several permits is valued once. Contractor counts are companies named on the permits.
