Oracle will break ground on its Nashville world headquarters on Nov. 10, starting vertical work on the biggest private project on the East Bank. The ceremony is invitation-only, The Tennessean reported, and it comes more than five years after Metro Council cleared the plan for the River North campus in Nashville, Tennessee.

The price tag has grown a lot along the way. In 2021, Oracle said it would invest $1.2 billion and bring an estimated 8,500 jobs to Nashville. The company later said the total investment had risen to $4.5 billion.

The site plan the company submitted this fall lays out a full mixed-use district. It calls for office buildings, a Nobu Hotel, retail buildings and a central park, plus a pedestrian bridge across the river to Germantown. Underground utilities and site grading have been underway through 2026, and the riverfront greenway is already finished.

The bridge is its own big job. The company says construction will begin in late summer and take two years.

Public open house after the groundbreaking

Nashville residents get a look three days after the ceremony. Oracle is holding three days of events from Nov. 12 to 14, with three-dimensional models of the 82-acre campus, AI demonstrations and food trucks. It's the first time the company has opened its doors to the community since it moved to Tennessee.

Another downtown groundbreaking the same week

Oracle isn't the only shovel going into the ground. The Nashville Fire Department breaks ground on its new headquarters and Fire Station 2 on Friday, November 6, 2026, at 10 a.m., at 500 2nd Avenue North.
